Reporting to the Plant Manager, the candidate will be responsible for the supervision of employees in the maintenance department in order to ensure the planning, coordination and management of equipment repairs and/or improvements in a continuous improvement approach.
• Supervise a team of 6 employees and ensure its development;• Manage maintenance activities with suppliers, preventive maintenance planning and work planning in a continuous operating environment;• Ensure that the preventive maintenance program meets food safety requirements as well as internal standards;• Manage various continuous improvement projects;• Optimize the use of various resources to ensure the smooth running of production operations while ensuring that the needs of internal and external customers are respected;• Use daily reports to measure trends and costs, communicate and make corrections as required; • Communicate and enforce health and safety and food safety policies, procedures and regulations;• Work in collaboration with various departments to maximize the efficiency of equipment and facilities;• Perform all other related duties.
• DEC in mechanical engineering or industrial maintenance technology or equivalent training;• Minimum of 10 years of experience including five (5) years of experience in a supervisory position in a maintenance department;• Demonstrated experience in project management and personnel management;• Knowledge of dairy manufacturing processes (an asset);• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; • Great sense of organization and planning;• Good leadership and communication skills;• Autonomy and cooperation;• Bilinguism (French & English, written and spoken), an asset.
